Golden Educational Consulting was created with one simple goal: to create a new, healthier way for families to navigate the college search process. One very important way that we achieve this goal is connecting families with the absolute best educational consultants; professionals with unparalleled counseling skills, deep admissions experience, and most importantly, a joyful and inspiring heart. Working with GEC means that your student will not only be better able to advocate for themselves in the admission and financial aid process, but that they will have a personal mentor by their side, one-on-one, teaching skills they will use throughout life.
To help us continue this mission, I am thrilled to announce that we are again growing our practice with the hiring of Jill Teeters as an Educational Consultant with Golden Educational Consulting.
Jill is a truly remarkable educator with more than 25 years experience in selective admissions, having served Miami University, Northeastern University, and Southern New Hampshire University (among many others), as well as experience as a college counselor at a highly respected private school in New England. An active member of the New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC), Jill has served in leadership roles over the years, and is currently working on diversity, equity and inclusion projects with their IDEA committee. Jill brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to her work with students and families, and is deeply committed to the health-first approach that is the hallmark of GEC. Each time I speak with Jill, I leave feeling inspired by her dedication to students and families, her involvement raising money and awareness in support of the March of Dimes, and her devotion to her family and community.
“Becoming part of the GEC family is a perfect fit for me. Here I am surrounded by talented, like-minded, professionals with tremendous resources, where the best interests of the students we serve are at the heart of all that we do each day. I look forward to partnering with Thom, Bridget, and Chris to guide our students on their journey, to help them dream big and to find a college community that will be the best fit,” said Jill.
Jill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Ithaca College and a Master of Arts in Speech Communication Studies from Emerson College in Boston. She lives in Manchester, N.H. with her husband, David Lamothe, and their son, Aidan.
Please join me in welcoming Jill to the Golden Educational Consulting family!
